Seniors enjoy the bounty and sights of Ashton Reservoir
Published at | Updated atREXBURG (Homestead Senior Living) — Residents of The Homestead Senior Living traded solid ground for open water as they headed to Ashton Reservoir for a beautiful day aboard a pontoon boat. With fishing poles ready and plenty of excitement, residents enjoyed cruising across the reservoir, taking in the scenery, and spending a relaxing day together in the great outdoors.
The peaceful boat ride offered residents a front-row seat to some of Idaho’s natural beauty. As the pontoon made its way across the water, residents kept their eyes on the shoreline and surrounding landscape, spotting plenty of wildlife along the way. Between the fresh air, calm water, and beautiful views, there was always something to see and enjoy. Of course, no trip to the reservoir would be complete without dropping a fishing line in the water!
Residents cast their lines and patiently waited to see who might get the next bite. Their patience paid off, and several fish were caught, bringing plenty of excitement, laughter, and a few good fishing stories to tell afterward. At The Homestead Senior Living, growing older certainly doesn’t mean the adventures have to stop. Whether cruising across Ashton Reservoir, watching wildlife from the boat, or celebrating a freshly caught fish, it was another wonderful day spent enjoying the beauty of Idaho and the simple pleasure of being together.
The Homestead and its residents would like to extend special thanks to Cory & Angie Ihler for offering the use of their pontoon and for their exceptional tour-guide skills.
