A jury has been selected in the Caleb Flynn murder trial, and opening statements will begin Friday morning.

Grace Wong was in the courtroom all day and will join Nate on tonight’s “Courtroom Insider” to talk about who is on the jury and what we can expect with the trial.

Then, a former University of Kentucky cheerleader admits to killing her newborn son. Laken Snelling pleaded guilty to first-degree manslaughter after police found the baby’s body inside a trash bag hidden in her apartment closet.

But there was another option — one Snelling told investigators she didn’t know existed. Tonight, we examine the heartbreaking gap between having a law on the books to protect newborns and making sure desperate parents know about it.

This story also has a remarkable connection to Idaho Falls. More than two decades ago, television reporter Suzanne Hobbs covered the discovery of an abandoned newborn in a dumpster. Along came twists she never expected, and Suzanne will join Nate to tell her story.
