EastIdahoNews.com is partnering with Smith Honda in Idaho Falls to honor people in our community for Feel Good Friday. Every week, we surprise someone deserving of special recognition.

We recently received an email about a kind woman in Pocatello who decided to help a young man in need. It said:

A local 20 year, Karter Robison was paralyzed in a car accident in November 2025. After reading an article of his story, struggles, his positive outlook, attitude and his longtime girlfriend’s dedication to his recovery, a local business owner felt connected to his story and took action to be a part of his success. Amanda Chatterton selflessly organized a car show to raise money for this complete stranger. The event was an huge success with over 200 cars showing up and donations from 40 sponsors! This story embodies humanity, kindness, love, compassion, connection generosity and a community coming together. A massive American flag was hung on display waving proudly over the cars. The owner plans to select another deserving candidate next year and has asked Karter and his girlfriend, Paisley, if they’ll be involved to make it successful for the next person. She embodies one of my favorite quotes, “Be the change you wish to see in the world.”

We decided to surprise Amanda and thank her for Feel Good Friday. Check out the video in the player above!
