Man killed in northern Idaho motorcycle crash

KAMIAH — A 61-year-old Kamiah man was killed Sunday afternoon when his motorcycle was struck head-on by an SUV on U.S. Highway 12.
The crash happened around 4 p.m. at milepost 70 near Kamiah, according to Idaho State Police.
Investigators say a 54-year-old Kamiah woman was driving a white 2015 Jeep Cherokee west on U.S. 12 while the man was riding a Harley-Davidson motorcycle east. The Jeep collided head-on with the motorcycle.
The motorcyclist died from his injuries at the scene. His name has not been released. Next of kin was notified.
The highway was intermittently blocked for approximately four hours while emergency crews responded and investigators worked at the scene.
Idaho State Police continues to investigate the crash.
