Brian Trent Packer
August 16th, 1967 - September 28th, 2026
Brian Trent Packer, 59, of Idaho Falls, passed away September 28, 2026, at his home. He was under the care of his loving family and Hospice of Eastern Idaho.
Brian was born August 16, 1967, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Trent Tate Packer and Betty Louise Hanson Packer Casper. He grew up and attended schools in Idaho Falls, including Bonneville High School.
On July 1, 1995, he married his “true love,” Teresa Marie Johnson, in Ririe, Idaho. She passed away March 9, 2012.
Brian married Ashley Nichole Treat in Twin Falls, Idaho, and they separated a couple years later.
Brian worked as a truck driver for Burggraf Enterprises, Idaho Package Company (IPAK) for 21 years, and then two years at Bonneville County Road and Bridge.
He was a member of the LDS Church. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, boating, fishing, bowling, going for car rides, shooting his guns, and billiards. His favorite color was blue. Please feel free to wear blue to his funeral to honor him.
Brian is survived by his son, Logan (Annalee) Packer of Idaho Falls, ID; mother, Betty Casper of St. George, UT; sister, Suzanne (Steve) Mickelsen of Middleton, ID; sister, Andrea (Derrick) Ammon of Idaho Falls, ID; stepmother, Sheryl (Packer) Decker of Rigby, ID; sister-in-law, Wendy Johnson of Idaho Falls, ID; father-in-law, Timmie Johnson of Ririe, ID; 2 grandchildren, Jaxon Logan Packer and Bailey Mae Packer; and many stepbrothers, stepsisters, nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends he loved as well.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Teresa Packer; father, Trent Packer; stepfather, Ronald Casper; paternal grandparents, Rex & Sue Packer Mecham; maternal grandparents, Roy & Thora Hanson; mother-in-law, Diane Johnson; brother-in-law, Jeff Johnson.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, October 9, 2026, at the Idaho Falls 14th Ward, 651 Gladstone Street, Idaho Falls, ID. The family will visit with family and friends Thursday, October 8, 2026, from 6-8 p.m. at Wood Funeral Home East Side, 963 S. Ammon Road, Ammon, ID, and Friday from 10-10:45 a.m. prior to services at the church. Burial will be in the Ririe-Shelton Cemetery, 12463 E. 129 N., Rigby, ID.
