Larry Dee Moore
February 15th, 1950 - October 5th, 2026
Larry Dee Moore, 76, of Idaho Falls, passed away October 5, 2026, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center. He was under the care of Aspen Home Health & Hospice and his loving family.
Larry was born February 15, 1950, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Clifford Wesley Moore and Thelma Ann Hutchens Moore. He grew up and attended schools in Idaho Falls and graduated from Idaho Falls High School. He also attended Idaho State University where he earned his Associate Degree in Electronics.
On April 23, 1975, he married Patty Jo Bird in Idaho Falls. Larry and Patty made their home in Idaho Falls where Larry worked as a Senior Engineering Technician for the INL.
He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He had a huge passion for fishing, especially with his two sons. He loved old cars. He super loved motorcycles; especially working on bikes for his boys to race. He was president of the EIMA (Eastern Idaho Motorcycle Association) where he and his wife, Patty, was treasurer at the time, started Battle of the Borders. It consisted of the races of Idaho vs. Utah. He enjoyed camping anywhere and everywhere.
Larry is survived by his wife, Patty Jo Moore of Idaho Falls, ID; sons, Wesley (Ashley) Moore and Corey Moore, both of Idaho Falls, ID; 5 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clifford and Thelma Moore; sisters, Barbara (Orson) Harding and Beverly (Tillman) Schrank; and brother, Dwaine (Charlyn) Moore.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 13, 2026, at Wood Funeral Home East Side, 963 S. Ammon Road. The family will visit with friends Monday from 6:30-8 p.m. at Wood Funeral Home East Side, 963 S. Ammon Road, and Tuesday from 10-10:45 a.m. prior to services. Both visitations will be held at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Milo Cemetery where Military Honors will be performed by the Bonneville County Veterans Memorial Team and Idaho Honor Guard.
