You have to see this! Woman arrested after doing donuts on courthouse lawn
Published atNOT A GOOD PLACE FOR DONUTS — A 67-year-old woman has gone viral after being caught on camera doing donuts in her vehicle on a courthouse lawn.
The wild ride happened on the evening of Oct. 5, 2026, in North Vernon, Indiana. Jennings County Sheriff’s Office shared the security camera footage on their Facebook page. The footage shows the camera facing the building’s front entrance.
Video shows the vehicle spinning out of control on the lawn. It’s seen going in circles and quickly moving backward. The vehicle knocks over a sign near the sidewalk and runs over it, but somehow avoids hitting a tree and the cement.
“A Friendly Reminder: If you’ve had a few too many margaritas with dinner, please don’t get behind the wheel, and definitely don’t do donuts on the courthouse lawn,” Jennings County Sheriff’s Office said in the video’s caption.
Only one person appears to be outside watching the incident unfold. The person is across the street, and the video appears to show the bystander pulling out a phone and immediately making a call.
The sheriff’s office reported that the woman was arrested for operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated, along with numerous other charges.
“We encourage everyone to enjoy themselves responsibly and always make arrangements for a safe ride home if you’ve been drinking,” the sheriff’s office wrote.
