AMMON — A motorcycle v. deer crash outside Ammon left one woman with severe enough injuries that she required an air lift to Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center in Idaho Falls.

The Bonneville County Sheriff’s Office reports the crash happened last Thursday around 7:15 p.m. on Peterson Hill. It’s on the 8000 East block of Sunnyside Road near the landfill.

The sheriff’s office reports a man was driving the motorcycle and had a female passenger. She was airlifted to EIRMC with significant injuries. The male had minor injuries and a responding deputy drove him to the hospital.

Neither individual’s identity has been released and the Bonneville County Sheriff’s Office was unable to provide an update on the status of the female passenger.

Law enforcement say the deer was killed in the crash.
