Roger Orrin Hunt

Roger Orrin Hunt, 63, of Idaho Falls, passed away October 15, 2026, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center.

Roger was born April 30, 1963, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Larry Eugene Hunt and Charlotte Yvonne Bennett Hunt. He grew up and attended schools in Idaho Falls and graduated from Idaho Falls High School. He also attended Eastern Idaho Vo-Tech for Drafting.

Roger made his home in Idaho Falls, Idaho, and lived with and cared for his ailing mother till her passing. During his life, he had many jobs, and at the time of his passing he worked in housekeeping for Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center.

He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He met and married Michelle Mitchell in 1994, together they raised three children. They were later divorced.

Roger was an avid bowler and was often seen at Bowl-Ero Lanes. He enjoyed cruising, classic cars, including his 67 Camaro, fishing, camping, and going to concerts. He loved watching racing, and went to many at area drag strips.

He spent his life spreading joy, kindness, and love to all those who crossed his path. He was a fierce friend, always willing to step in to help wherever needed. He is often described as a friendly and reliable man with a joyous and unique sense of humor.

Roger is survived by his daughter, Whitney Williams of Idaho Falls, ID; daughter, Leatha (Chris) Parry of Kearns, UT; son, Alex Hunt of Idaho Falls, ID; sister, Sheila Hunt of West Valley, UT; sister, Lu Jean Hunt of Idaho Falls, ID; and grandchildren, Raiden, Lenyx, and Evie.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Alan Hunt; and sister, Lenna Hunt.

Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday October 23, 2026, at the Ammon Cemetery, 5226 East Sunnyside Road. The family will visit with friends Thursday evening from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Friday from Noon to 1:30 p.m., prior, both visitations at Wood Funeral Home, 273 N. Ridge Avenue in Idaho Falls.
