Matthew Layne Anderson
February 16th, 1984 - October 31st, 2026
Matthew Layne Anderson, 42, of Rigby, Idaho, passed away on October 31, 2026, at Idaho Falls Community Hospital in Idaho Falls, Idaho.
Matthew was born on February 16, 1984, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Kathryn Louise Anderson. He completed his high school education and later married Amanda Kay Anderson, who was the love of his life.
Throughout his adult life, Matthew lived in Idaho Falls and Rigby. He was employed as a truck driver for Doug Andrus Distributing. He enjoyed traveling, smoking meats, and most of all, spending time with his family. He loved his wife dearly and especially enjoyed being a papa to his two grandchildren.
Matthew is survived by his wife, Amanda Anderson; his daughter, Alicia Bush (Gabe), of Idaho Falls, Idaho; his sons, Layne Anderson (Savannah), of Idaho Falls, Idaho, and Cody Anderson, of Rigby, Idaho; and his two grandchildren, Weston Layne Anderson and Loretta Kay Bush.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Kathryn Anderson; his grandparents, Lynn and Francis Anderson; his aunt, Carol Mickels; and his uncle, Kevin Anderson.
A visitation will be held on November 12, 2026, from 5:00 to 6:30 p.m. at Eckersell Funeral Home, 101 West Main Street, Rigby, Idaho.
