Jack and Jann Pruitt

Jack Jean Pruitt Jr. and Jann Blair Pruitt passed away together on October 29, 2026, at the age of 75, leaving behind a legacy of hard work and devotion to their family and friends.

Jack was born on May 23, 1951, in Rexburg, Idaho, to Jack Jean Pruitt Sr. and Nola Mae Evans. Energetic, dependable, and a natural jokester, he dedicated over 30 years of hard work to UPS before retiring, earning numerous awards throughout his career for his dedication and exceptional service.

Jack loved the outdoors and spending time in the fresh Idaho air. In his later years, he shared that outdoor atmosphere with others while serving as a camp host at Mountain River Ranch in Ririe, Idaho for several summers. Jack made friends wherever he went, welcoming visitors with a warm smile, an easy joke, and great conversation.

Jann was born on May 11, 1951, in Rigby, Idaho. She attended Ricks College, where she earned her nursing degree, and worked for about a year before dedicating herself fully to raising her family. Warm and hospitable, Jann welcomed all into her home with open arms.

A talented seamstress, she lovingly sewed new school clothes for her children each year. Jann expressed her creativity through cross-stitch and scrapbooking, beautifully preserving her family’s most cherished memories. Above all, she was a devoted mother who was always there for her family.

Jack and Jann were married on September 10, 1971, in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. They spent their entire married life in Rigby, building a home and raising their family among the friends they loved so dearly. Side by side in life, their bond was a true partnership built on devotion and family. Together, they enjoyed serving their community, including in the Idaho Falls Temple.

They are survived by their loving children: Troy Pruitt (Melisa) of Greenacres, Washington; Stephanie Hadley (Aaron) of Orem, Utah; Amy Pluim of Rigby, Idaho; Evan Pruitt of Dallesport, Washington; and Michael Pruitt (Kara) of Dallesport, Washington; as well as 13 beloved grandchildren and 7 cherished great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 14, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at the LaBelle 5th Ward chapel (364 North 4100 East, Rigby, ID). A viewing will be held Friday, November 13, 2026, from 5:00 to 6:30 p.m. at the LaBelle 5th Ward Chapel with another viewing prior to services at the church from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. Interment will follow at the Sutton Cemetery in Archer, Idaho.

Jack and Jann will be remembered for their steady love, deep devotion to one another, and the lasting impact they left on all who knew them.
