Snake River Student Awarded for Volunteerism

(MORELAND, ID) – A Snake River Jr. High Student was recently given a 2014 Prudential Spirit of Community Award. The nationwide program honors young people for outstanding acts of volunteerism. Braden Mangum received $1,000 for his efforts at the Blackfoot Animal Shelter. Mangum helped care for the animals, ran a pet food drive, and even set up a Facebook page to help the shelter with pet adoptions. Mangum says he plans to donate all of his winnings to the animal shelter.
