Josh Johnson was born and raised in east Idaho. Being the second of nine siblings, he learned early how to get along with people.
Josh is a very proud father of two: 19-year-old son, Benjamin, a mechanical/aerospace engineering student at MSU; and a beautiful 16-year-old daughter, Piper, who attends Idaho Falls High School. He met and married his best friend, Myken (McIlroy) Johnson, 20 years ago. Josh is owned by three dogs and two cats.
Western States employed him as a rental coordinator for 18 years until he was asked by a customer friend to help bring the culture from CAT to their auto dealerships, where he spent the last two years in management. He joined the EastIdahoNews.com family in September 2018.
He is very active in the community and loves to give and be part of helping other people. While his friends joke about the seven degrees of separation between Josh and someone he knows, the reality is it is usually closer to two degrees. Josh is a connector and genuinely cares about people and is the “go to” guy for so many people.
When he is not working, he is usually enjoying one of the many outdoor pursuits our region is best known for. He is happiest when boating, camping, hiking, hunting, fishing or doing anything at Redfish Lake with his family and friends.
