Anna Mae Herbst
June 29th, 1946 - December 8th, 2023
Anna Mae Herbst, 77, of Idaho Falls, passed away December 8, 2023, at Teton Healthcare of Cascadia, with her husband and sons by her side.
Anna was born June 29, 1946, in Massena, New York, to Walter P. Rosenberger and Norma A. Allgaier Rosenberger. She grew up and attended schools in Albany, New York, and graduated from Guilderland High School.
On December 12, 1965, she married David James Herbst in Albany, New York. Anna and Dave moved to Idaho in 1974. Anna worked as a sales clerk for Walmart before retiring in 2017.
She attended Holy Rosary Catholic Church. She enjoyed gardening, ceramics, reading, going to concerts, spending time with family (especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren who were the light of her life), and of course, Toby Keith.
Anna is survived by her husband, David James Herbst of Idaho Falls, ID; son, Robert (Tonya) Herbst of Ucon, ID; son, David (Kristi) Herbst of Idaho Falls, ID; brother, Donald ‘Rosie’ (Traci) Rosenberger of Pocatello, ID; 6 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
A gathering for friends and family will be held from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, December 28, 2023, at Wood Funeral Home East Side, 963 South Ammon Road.
