Arla June Butler

June 10th, 1937 - October 13th, 2019

Getting your Trinity Audio player ready ...

Arla June Butler passed away peacefully, and her loving husband, Wayne R. Butler, was by her side. She lived a full life in southeast Idaho and raised six children. Sewing and gardening were some of her favorite activities. She always enjoyed reading and listening to current music on the radio. The pride and joy of her life were her six children: Bryce, Nancy, Lynn, Annette, Calvin and Gary.

Through the years, Arla nurtured many friendships where her love of life influenced all those friends, neighbors and family. She loved the Lord and enjoyed attending The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Happily, she accepted many church callings and faithfully attended to those assignments. Arla lived for getting together with family and friends. This brought Arla a lot of joy. She proudly talked of her 32 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. She sewed dozens of wedding gowns and altered more pieces of clothing than she cared to count. She always found a creative way to make a few dollars of her own helping customers, whom she greeted them with her sweet smile. Although her husband is in good physical health, he will miss his darling Arla and sometimes play a Frank Sinatra tune while thumbing through her photo albums.

The viewing is Thursday at Nalder Funeral Home in Shelley from 6 to 7:40 p.m. The funeral is Friday at 11 a.m. at The Sandcreek Ward Building.
