Bill Wilson

January 16th, 1942 - June 3rd, 2022

Billy “Bill” Clyde Wilson 79, of Chester, Idaho passed away June 3, 2022. Just like he dealt with all experiences in his life Bill managed his illness with strength and humor he was surrounded by a room full of love and tears at his home in Chester.

Bill was the youngest of 4 children born in Roseburg Oregon to Clyde Harold Wilson and Clarissa Irene Dearcorn Bill worked sawmills with his dad in his teen age years and played guitar to make a little money on the side at times.

He met the love of his life, Mary Crislip, through a friend. They were married and soon after moved to Idaho. Bill and Mary had three daughters. Bill was a welder and mechanic and if you are from the Fremont County area you or someone you know probably had him work on something. He enjoyed the Art Lab in St. Anthony to be able to go and show his many interests to people. He loved sharing his knowledge of everything he did, all one had to do was ask and show the interest in what they wanted to learn. He was always curious about how you make this or that and would watch YouTube on different techniques of how to get the project just right. His hobbies to name a few, were woodworking, metalworking, gemologist, music, gardening and jokes. He was a master of the art of making people smile, through either his generosity of gifts he crafted in his magical workshop or his mastery of a good joke. He always had a joke brewing under that wonderful smile of his.

Bill is survived by his sister Charlette Morgan (Francis Morgan), daughters Kathy Birch (Darin Birch) of Idaho Falls ID, Jennifer Olsen (Richard Olsen) of Bountiful Ut, Crissy Barney (Jim Palmer) of Chester ID, grandchildren Alycia Birch, Blake Birch, Melissa Gazzaway, Todd Birch, Renae Hall, Brian Erikson, Taylor Erikson, Nathan Barney, Trevor Barney and 12 great grandchildren.
