Brennan O’Rourke

November 26th, 1993 - December 30th, 2021

After many years of being so proud of being drug free and helping many along the way, Brennan Patrick O’Rourke, lost his battle on Earth in the late hours of December 30, 2021, at his home in Idaho Falls, Idaho. If love could have won his battle, we would still have him here.

On November 26, 1993, a bright light was born when Brennan Patrick O’Rourke was born to Tim and Machelle O’Rourke in Wheatridge, Colorado.

He began his life in Colorado until he moved to Idaho Falls when he was 4. He attended Edgemont Elementary grade school, except the fifth grade where he lived on Kwajalein in the Marshal Islands. He continued school at Taylor View Junior High and graduated from Idaho Falls High School in 2012. He furthered his education at Western Wyoming Community College and was currently attending College of Eastern Idaho.

His greatest accomplishments and lights of his life were his beautiful baby girl, Leigha Marie, born in 2017, and his son and best buddy, Deklyn Patrick in 2018. His children were all he spoke of and were the motivation to turn his life around. When his baby girl passed at one month old, he never fully recovered and struggled with the loss. Deklyn provided the joy he needed and they were inseparable as daddy and son.

Brennan loved history and movies. He was an asset to any Trivia team because he could recite any movie or almost any historical fact. Brennan had the biggest heart and would do anything for anyone. His family will miss his bigger than life voice, his laugh, and his great big hugs.

Brennan is survived by the light of his life, Deklyn Patrick O’Rourke; his father, Tim O’Rourke; mother, Machelle (Brent) Bergeman; siblings, Tyrell (Lauren) Butikofer, Baylee (Randy) Walker, Heather Phillip, and Devan Bergeman; grandparents, Joanne (Charles Gilmore) Carnes, Sibyl Priest; Uncles, Rick (Pam) Priest, Mike (Lori) Priest; and nieces and nephews, whom he absolutely adored, Brooke, Cohyn, Jackson, Jack, and Cooper.

Brennan was preceded in death and greeted by his baby girl, Leigha Marie O’Rourke and grandfathers, Don O’Rourke and Charles Ray Priest.

Brennan, we will miss you every day of our lives. We take comfort in knowing you are at peace and that we will be reunited again one day.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a date and time to be announced.

Condolences may be offered to the family at www.woodfuneralhome.com
