Brian Allen

Brian Les Allen, 53, of Idaho Falls, passed away November 13, 2023, at his home due to cancer. He was under the care of Hands of Hope Hospice. He maintained his optimistic and positive attitude until the very end of his days.

Brian was born November 23, 1969, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Lester Merlin Allen and Linda Peterson Allen.

He grew up and attended schools in Idaho Falls and graduated from Skyline High School in 1988. He also attended Idaho State University and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in computer science. Brian worked as a Computer Scientist for Idaho Environmental Coalition for all of his career.

Brian was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He loved corvettes and restoring old cars with his dad & friends, fishing, his pet cat, spending time with his family and friends, and listening to ACDC rock band.

Brian is survived by his mother, Linda Allen; sister, Susan (Matthew) Anderson; brother, Jay Allen; sister, Donna Mortimer – all of Idaho Falls. He is survived by eight nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his beloved father, Lester Merlin Allen.

The family would like to express our heartfelt thanks to Hands of Hope Hospice and Qualicare for the excellent care and friendship given.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 18, 2023, at Wood Funeral Home, 273 N. Ridge Avenue. The family will visit with friends one hour prior to the services at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Iona Cemetery in Idaho Falls, Idaho.
