Bruce Edward Pence
October 30th, 1956 - October 29th, 2025
The legend, Bruce Edward Pence, 68, of Idaho Falls, passed away October 29, 2025, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center. He was under the care of Aspen Home Health and Hospice.
Bruce was born October 30, 1956, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, to George Edward Pence and Mildred June Crump Pence. He grew up and attended schools in Pittsburgh, PA, and graduated from Old Saybrook High School in 1975. He also attended University of Connecticut.
On March 3, 1979, he married Robin Annette Bird in Idaho Falls, ID. Together, they had three children, Ron, Amy, and Thomas. Bruce and Robin made their home in Idaho Falls, ID, where Bruce worked as a technician for Idaho Business Systems for 20 plus years. He then found his passion for working on Harley Davidson’s at River City Custom Cycle and Road Rags Custom Cycle. In his later years he worked as an RV Technician for Bish’s RV and Teton RV. Robin passed away in 2022. Bruce found love again and married Violet Diane Finch on September 17, 2023, in Idaho Falls, ID.
He was a member of the First Baptist Church. He enjoyed the outdoors, riding motorcycles, camping, hunting, and spending time with his friends and family.
Bruce is survived by his wife, Violet Pence of Idaho Falls, ID; son, Ron (Christy) Pence of Idaho Falls, ID, daughter, Amy Pence of Idaho Falls, ID, son, Thomas Pence of Idaho Falls, ID; sister, Teresa (Clint) Hoxie of MI, sister, Debra Holms of WY; 4 grandchildren, Zerric, Kiyah, Rhemy, Jordan; and 1 great-grandson, Huxley.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Robin Annette Pence, and parents, George and Mildred Pence.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, November 7, 2025, at Wood Funeral Home, 273 North Ridge Avenue. The family will visit with friends Friday from 10-10:45 a.m. prior to services. Burial will be in the Ammon Cemetery.
