Obituary
Chelsea Sabin
April 28th, 1983 - November 15th, 2025
Chelsea Elaine Sabin, of Saint Anthony, Idaho passed away from this world on November 15, 2025, holding the hand of her soul mate, and surrounded by her family and children. She was born April 28, 1983, to Lane and Cindy Hillam. She was the second of 4 children and loved her siblings very much. She valued her family above all else. She loved everyone!
Chelsea was born in Rexburg and moved to Aloha, OR, at a very young age. She had her oldest son, Kylin, and went to school for medical assisting in downtown Portland while caring for him. She loved medical work. Recently, she worked at the office at Hill and Son Excavating. She loved it, because she loved the people. When she moved back to Idaho with her family, she would have two more sons, Teagan and Jayden. Her boys were her whole world! She triumphed over many struggles for the love of her children. Chelsea was full of life! No matter what her circumstances or struggles, she knew how to laugh and love. She was compassion incarnate. There was no heart or soul so low that she wouldn’t try to lift out of darkness.
In 2021, she met Jacob Sabin at a singles event. It wasn’t love at first sight, but gravity. They immediately fell into their relationship like a black hole. There was no coming out. On September 23, 2023, they cemented that love further by marriage, and Chelsea’s long-held hope for 4 children became a reality in her stepson Tristan Sabin, her bonus child. In true Chels fashion, she immediately took to him, like one of her own. She was a devoted mother and wife, always looking after her family. Though not active, she was a member of the LDS church. The world lost its purest soul, and heaven gained more light! Thank you, staff of the EIRMC ICU, for the outstanding job you did in fighting for her recovery! You honor my wife!
Chelsea is survived by her husband, Jake, her children Kylin, Tristan, Teagan, and Jayden; her parents, Lane and Cindy Hillam; and in-laws Mike and Sheila Siepert; her siblings Rachelle (Chris) Armstrong, Jeremy (Kyla) Hillam, and Cassie (Chris) Heaton, Josh (Margo) Sabin, Brian (Jennifer) Sabin, Terrel (Cherie) Siepert, and Andrew Sabin; also 16 nieces and nephews, whom she absolutely adored; and many, many more. She will be very missed! She is preceded in death by her grandma Charlotte Hillam one month prior; also, David and Rhea Miles, her grandparents on her mother’s side.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, November 21, 2025, at the Marysville Ward Chapel, 1313 North 3600 East, in Ashton. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m., and Friday from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m., both times at the church. Interment will be in the Pineview Cemetery.
