Christopher Charles “Chris” Robertson

December 29th, 1955 - February 25th, 2024

Christopher Charles “Chris” Robertson, 68, of Shelley, Idaho, passed away on February 25, 2024, at Idaho Falls Community Hospital in Idaho Falls, ID after a 6 year battle with cancer.

Chris was born to C. Paul Robertson and Margaret Bendixsen Robertson on December 29, 1955, in Blackfoot, ID. He attended and graduated from Snake River High School.

He was a devoted husband to Susan “Susie” Robertson and father to C. Cory Robertson, Cassie (Shawn) Baxter, and Tye (Alycia) Robertson. Grandfather to Kali, Brooklyn, Josie, Addilyn, Landen, Gabriella, Owen, and Chloe. Chris showed tough love with sayings of “its a long way from the heart” but was a softie that couldn’t resist snuggles and dunking cookies with grandkids.

He was a loving brother to his crazy siblings Becky (Rod) Remsburg, Merri (Dewey) Stander, Joanna (Brad) Anderson, and Gery (Jill) Robertson.

He is proceeded in death by his parents, C. Paul and Margaret Bendixsen Robertson, and his brothers Danny and Bart Robertson.

Chris’s life was a testament to his unwavering faith. He served the Lord with zeal during his mission in Bangkok, Thailand, and continued his service as a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He cherished his mission and frequently talked about his time there. He served in the bishopric of the young single adult wards in Shelley, ID, and at BYU-I, as well as his many callings within his home ward.

In his professional life, Chris worked tirelessly to support his family by driving trucks before establishing his own successful home inspection business, leaving a legacy to his son Tye.

Chris’s hobbies were hunting, camping, working in the shop with grandchildren, harassing telemarketers, and being the life of the party. He was quick witted and always had a dad joke on hand.

The celebration of Chris’s life will commence with funeral services at 11:00 am on Monday, March 4, 2024, at the Woodville Third Ward Chapel, 1555 N. 700 E. Shelley, Idaho. The family will welcome friends and loved ones for visitation on Sunday evening from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm at Nalder Funeral Home, 110 West Oak Street, Shelley, Idaho, and prior to the service from 9:30 am to 10:45 am at the chapel. Interment will be at the Taylor cemetery.
