Dennis Lee Bates
January 12th, 1944 - April 7th, 2023
Dennis Lee Bates, 79, of Idaho Falls, passed away April 7, 2023, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center. He was under the care of Aspen Hospice.
Dennis was born January 12, 1944, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Alfred Reed Bates and Marjorie Christine Freemen Bates.
He married Janeal Munger on January 19, 1962. They later divorced.
On March 12, 1982, he married Sue Clark in Las Vegas, NV. Dennis and Sue made their home in Idaho Falls, Idaho, where Dennis worked as a construction superintendent for Bateman-Hall and Eagle Rock Timber.
He enjoyed music and played base in various bands in his younger years. He was a hard worker and could fix anything.
Dennis is survived by his loving wife, Sue Clark of Idaho Falls, ID; daughter, Donna Jean (Kevin) Leathers of Idaho Falls; daughter, Jenny Clark of Idaho Falls; son, Josh (Tiffany) Clark of Idaho Falls; son, Travis (Stephanie Dunn) Spencer of Idaho Falls; brother, Donald (Francis) Fedder of Idaho Falls; sister, Larae Brinda of MI; 9 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred and Marjorie Bates; brothers, Kenneth Bates, Barry Bates, Dougie Bates, Bobby Bates, Ron Bates and Roger Bates; and sister, Sandra Bates.
