Eleanor Crawford Fullmer
April 30th, 1938 - October 30th, 2022
Eleanor Crawford Fullmer died peacefully on October 30, 2022, in the Idaho Falls Community Hospital surrounded by her eternal companion and each of her children. She was 84 years old.
She was the second of 4 children born to Walter Edwin Crawford and Selma Clair Pearson. Born April 30, 1938, in Idaho Falls, Idaho. Raised on the Crawford cattle ranch in Antelope Valley. She attended her early elementary years in Antelope Valley, then Moore, Idaho, and graduated from Butte High School in 1956. She was involved in thespians (drama) and had a beautiful soprano singing voice. She participated in choir, operetta, and music festivals, and was a member of the FHA and library club. She was very active in 4H and won many blue ribbons for her sewing.
She married her high school sweetheart Albert Whiting Fullmer Jr. on August 24, 1956, in the Idaho Falls Temple. They enjoyed 66 beautiful years together and look forward to eternity.
She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints serving in many capacities including, stake and ward Relief Society presidencies, various callings in Sunday School and Primary, and Young Women’s, as ward and stake Dance Directors, and as an avid scouter who earned her Silver Beaver and attended Wood Badge. She loved serving a mission with her husband in Cape Town, South Africa mission.
Albert and Eleanor were blessed with 4 strapping young lads and 4 darling delightful daughters and enjoyed fostering Verdell Bobtail Bear through the Lamanite Placement Program for 6 years. She was an avid reader, gardener, seamstress, homemaker, and candy maker. She is an amazing mother and grandmother. Every child and grandchild felt deeply loved and special to her.
They spent the majority of their married life in Lost River Valley in Leslie, Idaho. They cherished their friends and neighbors up and down the valley. She worked for years in the Mackay Elementary School.
Eleanor is survived by her husband, Albert Fullmer Jr., sister, Audrey (Tom) Liddil of Pocatello, and her children, Albert (Debra) Fullmer III of Rexburg, Carlene (Jordan) King of Rigby, Bethene (Kelby) of Idaho Falls, Jennette (Lloyd) Poole of Rexburg, Elaine (Brian) Higginson of Arco, Ken (Jenny) Fullmer of Idaho Falls, Kevin (Teresa) Fullmer of Idaho Falls. 44 grandchildren and 67 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her son, Gregory Eugene Fullmer, and her parents Walter and Selma Crawford, brothers Edwin and Alvin Crawford, granddaughter Chera Birch, great-grandsons Brady Fullmer, Zade Hansen, and Phoenix Mathis.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday, Nov. 5 at 11:00 a.m. at the Moore Idaho Stake Center, 3100 N 3350 W, Moore Idaho with Bishop Craig Tew conducting. The family will receive visitors Friday, Nov 4 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the Anderson Family Funeral Home, 2555 N. Hwy 93 Arco, Idaho, and for one hour prior to services at the Moore Idaho Stake Center. Following the funeral service, interment will take place at the Lost River Cemetery.
