Frank C. Harris passed away shortly after celebrating his 89th birthday, following a brief decline in his physical health. His sense of humor, warm smile, and remarkably sharp memory remained strong until the very end. Frank and his family express deep gratitude for the loving and compassionate care he received from the staff at Lincoln Court Assisted Living and Enhabit Hospice Care. He was also surrounded by the devoted support of his children Lise Harris, Kristine Steele, Bill Harris, as well as Darla Wohlschlegel during the final months of his life.

Until his 89th birthday, Frank lived independently in Blackfoot, Idaho. In his later years, he found joy in golfing, bowling, and spending time with friends and family. He especially cherished the mountains and his beloved cabin in Mackay, Idaho. An accomplished painter, Frank loved capturing mountainous landscapes on canvas and gifting his artwork to those he loved. He will be fondly remembered for his adventurous long car rides, hunting trips, gardening, his dogs, coffee, cigars, and a good hamburger.

Frank moved to Idaho in 1980 and became a pioneer in establishing the profession of Denturism in the State of Idaho. Through his innovative efforts in legislation and professional advocacy, he helped create a pathway for Denturists to serve communities across the state. His trademark was creating cost-effective, custom-made porcelain dentures that were affordable, comfortable, and natural-looking—improving oral health, quality of life, well-being, and self-esteem for many thousands of people.

Frank’s legacy continues through his son Bill and granddaughter Kelli, who carry on his unique craftsmanship and dedication to excellence as Denturists. Combining his master artistry of his hands and genuine care for his patients, Frank revolutionized oral healthcare for generations to come. In his early years and throughout his career, it was common for patients to travel great distances to receive his quality care, while often speaking highly of him for many years afterward.

Frank grew up in Fresno, California, where he met his first wife, Inge Hansen. Together, they raised three children: Lise, Kristine, and Bill. After moving to Idaho, he married Francis Richardson and her four children, his family grew larger. After Fran’s passing in 2018, he remained especially close to Fran’s daughter, Darla Wohlschlegel, and her husband, Perry. He is survived by two siblings, Nancy Olsen and Jim Harris.

Private family services will be held at a later date. Cremation is under the care of Coltrin Mortuary, 2100 First Street, Idaho Falls. Condolences may be sent online to www.coltrinmortuary.com.
