Obituary Fred Armbrister
July 26th, 1952 - May 3rd, 2024
Freddie Gene Armbrister, 71, of Idaho Falls, passed away May 3, 2024, at his home, surrounded by his loving family. He was under the care of Brio Hospice.
Fred was born July 26, 1952, in Ajo, Arizona, to Ernest Melvin “Buster” Armbrister and Pauline Langley Armbrister. He grew up and attended schools in Butte, Montana.
On April 8, 1978, he married Carol Roholt in Grace, Idaho. Fred and Carol made their home in Idaho Falls, Idaho, where Fred worked as an auto mechanic and owned and operated Mountain West Auto Repair.
He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He enjoyed fishing, woodworking, waterskiing, and restoring old cars.
Fred is survived by his wife, Carol Armbrister of Idaho Falls, ID; sons, Jim Armbrister of Ashkelon, Israel, Jeremy (Heather) Armbrister of Weston, FL, and Eric Armbrister of Naples, Italy; daughter, Elizabeth (Micah) Brown of Boise, ID; sister, Shirley Davis of Jerome, ID; 9 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Athel Joe Armbrister; sister, Ernestine Pauline Bill; and brother, Donald Lee Armbrister.
Memorial services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, May 11, 2024, at the Lincoln 8th Ward, 2349 Virlow, with Bishop Kevin Bake officiating. The family will visit with friends from 9-9:45 a.m. prior to services. Burial will be in the Grace Cemetery at a later date.
