Garald Roland Beazer, 95, passed away peacefully, on April 10, 2026, at his home in Idaho Falls, surrounded by his loving family.

Garald was born on May 12, 1930, in LaBelle, Idaho, the third of five children born to Roland and Thelma Beazer. He was raised and educated in the local area schools, graduating from Idaho Falls High School in 1948. He continued his education at Ricks College before serving a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Australia.

On June 24, 1953, Garald married June Alyse Edwards in the Cardston Alberta LDS Temple. Together they were blessed with six children: Susan, Brian, Sandra, Michelle, Christine, and Jeffrey.

Garald later attended Brigham Young University, earning a degree in geology in 1958. After graduation, he returned to Idaho Falls and joined his father at Beazer Construction. When his father retired, Garald took over the business, which he owned and operated for over 60 years.

Garald had a wide variety of hobbies and interests. He created countless cherished memories with his family, especially on his well-loved road trips. He found great joy in exploring the remote beauty of his beloved Idaho and surrounding areas, often teaching and sharing his knowledge of geology with his family along the way. He enjoyed fishing anytime and anywhere, as well as camping, river rafting, flying, woodworking, and studying his scriptures.

He also had a deep love for music. Garald and June sang frequently together, performing in duets and quartets. He participated in the Fallsmen barbershop chorus and a quartet known as the Nucleaires, and music was a constant source of joy and connection in their home.

As a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Garald gained a deep testimony of Jesus Christ and loved learning the gospel. He served faithfully in many church callings, including bishoprics and the high council, and he found great joy in serving others. He also served as an ordinance worker in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple for 27 years and he cherished his time there.

Garald is survived by his children: Sandra Bame of Salt Lake City, Utah, Michelle Beazer of Idaho Falls, Idaho, Christine Nelson of Bay City, Texas, and Jeffrey Beazer of Idaho Falls, Idaho; as well as seven grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, June; his children, Susan and Brian; his parents; and his siblings, Laveta, Velma, Keith, and Sherman.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 18, 2026, at the Boulevard Ward, 1235 Juniper Drive, Idaho Falls, Idaho. The family will visit with friends and family from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. prior to funeral services. Services will be broadcast live at www.woodfuneralhome.com. Burial will be in the Annis Little Butte Cemetery.

Garald’s love, wisdom, and steady presence will be cherished and greatly missed by his family and all who knew and loved him.
