Ilene Gerreta Harrell, 67, passed away on Sunday, February 22, 2026 in Idaho Falls, Idaho.

She was born on October 20, 1958, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Pete and Janice Keller Walstrom. Ilene was raised and attended schools in Idaho Falls, graduating from Skyline High School in 1977. She attended Vo-tech in Idaho Falls to become a Health Physicist. Upon graduating she went to Los Alamos and worked there for several years. She then returned to Idaho and began her employment with Argonne. Eventually she moved to the north end of the site at TAN in the hot shop.

On December 8, 1989, she married Brian Harrell in Howe, Idaho. They made their home in Howe and were blessed with two children, Zac and Kaytln.

Ilene enjoyed life and loved living in Howe where she felt loved and welcomed. One of her greatest joys was driving over the point of the mountain coming home into the Little Lost River Valley. She loved working on their farm and especially enjoyed running the baler. Brian thought it might be her most favorite hobby besides being with her family.

In 2023, Ilene retired from the INL and began traveling with her sweetheart, Brian. This brought them a lot of joy and they made many wonderful memories. Ilene was a Christian and loved her Savior very much.

Surviving is her husband, Brian Harrell; her children, Zac and Kaytln Harrell; her sisters, Bonnie (Mark) Davis, and Jeannie (Rodney) Fuger; a sister-in-law, Diane Walstrom; a brother-in-law, Mike Rhoads and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, Pete & Janice Walstrom, a brother, Victor Walstrom, and a sister Annette Walstrom Rhoads.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, February 28, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at the Little Lost River Bible Church, 1520 U.S. Highway 33, Howe, ID. A viewing will be held on Friday evening from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Anderson Family Funeral Home, 2555 N. Highway 93, Arco, ID, and for one hour prior to the church. Interment will be in the Howe Cemetery.

The family would like to invite friends and family to the house following the service and luncheon.
