Jacob Aaron Kesler, age 20 years, was the oldest child of Aaron Kary Kesler and Kaleigh Renae Westhoff Kesler.

Jacob is survived by his parents, and 7 siblings, Rockwell (currently serving a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Tanzania), Braidelynn, Kaycee, Desirae, Rosalie, Zacharias and Krystal of Lund, Nevada and both sets of grandparents, Kary and Susan Kesler of Fillmore, UT and Stephen and Jenae Westhoff of Bunkerville, NV. He is preceded in death by a brother Zeb. Jacob is also survived by many loving aunts, uncles and cousins on both sides of his family.

Jacob was serving as a missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Bismarck North Dakota Mission. He was involved in an auto accident with his companion Elder Robert (Tommy) Gardner that took the lives of both missionaries on June 4, 2024 outside of Beulah, North Dakota.

Jacob loved serving his mission and loved the people of Montana, North and South Dakota, and Minnesota where he served. Jacob also loved working with his family on their ranch and was looking forward to returning home in 2 months. Jacob loved sharing the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ and seeing the joy it brought into others’ lives. He loved the scriptures and valued his testimony of the gospel.

The passing of this wonderful son causes deep sorrow, not only to his family, but to the many who knew him and knew of his strong manhood and genuine worth. He was sound in principle, always reliable, trustworthy, very kind and dependable. He is loved deeply and will be greatly missed.

The funeral will be held on Saturday, June 15, 2024 at the Ely LDS Stake Center at 900 Ave E, Ely NV 89301 at 11:00 AM, it will be preceded by a visitation at 9:30 AM. We, as Jacob’s family, have felt the comfort and peace from the Savior through the prayers, service and condolences of many friends. Memories and condolences can be shared at the mortuary website at www.mountainvistachapel.com.
