James Douglas Polster

February 16th, 1959 - April 23rd, 2020

James Douglas Polster, 61, passed away, Thursday, April 23, 2020 in Decatur, Texas. James was born February 16, 1959 in Fort Worth, TX to William F. and Nancy (Reilly) Polster. At the time of his passing, James worked for Earthworks as a landscape engineer. In his spare time he loved spending time at the family farm riding the John Deere lawn mower. He loved to cook, hunt, spend time in the mountains, create things, and spend time with his family. His kids were the light of his life.

James graduated from Richland High School in North Richland Hills, TX. He lived in Cheyenne, WY, Ft, Collins, Co, and Southeast Idaho. While in Idaho, James had many jobs and never came across a stranger. He was known to “be able to sell ice to Eskimos”. He worked for Broadway Ford, The Local Pages, Yellowbook.

He is survived by his parents, children, Lucas J. Polster, Emilee L. Polster, Antonio J. (Cheyenne) Garza: siblings, Frances (Robert), Carol (Phil), Patsy (Chad), John (Lisa), Chris (Dixie), Mary, Charlie, David, many nieces, nephews and extended family all of whom will miss him.

A celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
