It is with saddened hearts that the family and loved ones share the news that Jay Owen Fuhriman passed away at his home of natural causes on April 4, 2025. He may have been “Jay” to the world, but he will always be known as “Jay-O” to the family.

Jay was born on January 22, 1975, to Jay Dean Fuhriman and Linda Stella Camphouse Fuhriman in Nampa, ID. At the age of one year, Jay moved, with his family, to Idaho Falls, where he grew up and attended school. Jay was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

When Jay was twenty, he met Teresa Clay and they had a daughter, Skye, in 1997. Jay was then married to Naomie Jones on September 1, 2012. They lived in Twin Falls for several years before moving to Nevada. They were, eventually, divorced.

Jay enjoyed the outdoors and especially enjoyed a day holding a fishing pole with something (it didn’t matter what) on the other end. As they say, “The worst day of fishing is better than the best day at work.”

Jay had a kind and generous heart. He was always willing to help anyone in need and often dropped everything to help a friend move or work in the yard. He was especially helpful to his parents during his dad’s long illness. Jay-O will surely be missed.

Jay is survived by his daughter, Skye Christine Clay; his special friend and partner, Tarra Barrett, both of Pocatello, Idaho; his mother, Linda Fuhriman, of Idaho Falls, Idaho; his siblings include: sister, Christa (Sam) McKee, of Inkom, Idaho and his brother, Joshua Fuhriman, of Pocatello, Idaho; and by his nephew and nieces, Shawn and Tatiana McKee, McKayla McKee, and Stella Fuhriman.

Jay was recently preceded in death by his father, Jay Dean Fuhriman; his grandparents, Owen and Elinor Fuhriman of Melba and Kermit and Donna Camphouse of Rexburg.

Graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, April 26, 2025, at the Ammon Cemetery. Cremation was under the direction of Coltrin Mortuary, 2100 First Street, Idaho Falls. Condolences may be sent online at www.coltrinmortuary.com.
