Jeffery Niendorf

Jeffery “Jeff” Fred Niendorf, age 71, passed away on April 21, 2024, surrounded by family at his daughter’s home in Idaho Falls, ID. He was born on June 5, 1952, to the late Fred J Niendorf and Eileen F Severson.

Jeff proudly served in the United States Navy before dedicating himself to serving his community at a Development workshop, assisting people with disabilities. He later worked for Idahoan Foods LLC for approximately 25 years.

Known for his love of the outdoors, Jeff cherished camping and fishing adventures, reveling in the beauty of nature. An avid baseball enthusiast, he could always be found enjoying a game, and his loyalty to the San Francisco 49ers was unwavering, evident in his attire adorned with the team’s emblem.

Jeff settled in Rigby, Idaho, where he lived on Main Street for 25 years, creating a home filled with love and memories.

Jeff’s passion for music found its soulmate in the works of Bruce Springsteen, with “Dancing in the Dark” holding a special place in his heart, evidenced by its presence during his final moments. He also had a signature curly mullet, which he lovingly maintained for over 30 years, becoming a beloved part of his identity.

Jeff grew up in Drummond ID, where his family ran a farm owned by his father Fred. He had six siblings: Cody Niendorf, Sherrie Amoroso, Jennifer Jansson, Debbie Adams, and John Niendorf, who survive him, and he was preceded in death by Joel Niendorf, Christopher Niendorf, and Walter Niendorf.

He will be joining his father at the Pineview Cemetery in Ashton, Freemont County, Idaho.

He is survived by his loving children: Chrystal Jean Niendorf of Idaho Falls, ID, and Dellas Niendorf. Chrystal’s four sons, Trey, Kyle, Zack, and Cody, and Dellas’s four children, Dellas De Wit, Jaycie Reed, Cade Jenkins, and Jillian Niendorf, will carry forward Jeff’s legacy. He also leaves behind four great-grandchildren: Aiva’Lynn, Brexley’Ann, Olivia, and Persephine.

Jeff’s memory will forever be cherished by his family and friends, his vibrant spirit and love for life serving as a beacon of inspiration to all who knew him.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 27, at the Pineview Cemetery in Ashton, Idaho. The family will receive friends at the funeral home starting at 10:00 a.m. before going to the cemetery for services.
