John Allison Beins
November 21st, 1931 - June 5th, 2025
John Allison Beins, 93, of Idaho Falls, passed away June 5, 2025, at MorningStar Senior Living Center. He was under the care of Hospice of Eastern Idaho.
John was born November 21, 1931, in Nehawka, Nebraska, to John Henry Beins and Pearl Henrietta Chappell Beins. He grew up and attended schools in Idaho Falls and graduated from Idaho Falls High School.
On December 28, 1957, he married Doris Daisy Nelson Beins in Elko, Nevada. John and Doris made their home in Idaho Falls, Idaho, where John was a licensed plumber and worked as a boiler technician. He founded the first boiler company in Southeast Idaho in 1978. He operated Rocky Mountain Boiler until his retirement in 2007. His family still runs it today.
He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He enjoyed trap shooting, trapping, hunting, fishing, and woodwork.
John is survived by his son, Tyla (Debra) Barker of Idaho Falls, ID; son, Howard Beins of Idaho Falls, ID; sister, Karen Barrows of Camarillo, CA; 13 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren, 36 great-great grandchildren, and 1 great-great-great grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Doris Beins; son, Milton Barker; son, Layne Hansen; granddaughter, Heidi Barker; father, John Beins; and mother, Pearl Beins.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 11, 2025, at Wood Funeral Home East Side, 963 South Ammon Road. The family will visit with friends Tuesday, from 6:30-8 p.m. and Wednesday, from 10-10:45 a.m. prior to services with both visitations at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Fielding Memorial Park Cemetery. Military Honors will be performed by the Bonneville County Veterans Memorial Team and the Air Force Honor Guard.
