Juana Vasquez Lopez

Juana Vasquez Lopez, 37, of Shelley, passed away Saturday, March 16, 2024, at her home. She was under the care of Hospice of Eastern Idaho.

Juana was born on June 24, 1986, in Calera de Victor Rosales Mexico to Jose Vasquez Rivaz and Maria Elena Lopez Garza. She grew up in Chaparrosa Villa de Cos, Mexico.

On February 23, 2006, she married Juan Luis Garcia Garcia in Villa de Cos Zacatecas. They were later divorced. She has lived in Mexico, Idaho Falls, and Shelley. She worked at Golden Valley Natural in Shelley.

Juana enjoyed crocheting, gardening, and spending time outdoors. She was a kind and strong person and loved spending time with family and friends.

Juana is survived by her son, Jose Garcia Vazquez of Shelley, Idaho; her daughters: Mayte Garcia Vasquez of Shelley, Idaho, and Alejandra Garcia Vasquez of Shelley, Idaho; the father of her children, Juan Garcia Garcia of Shelley, Idaho; her parents Maria Elena Lopez Garza and Jose Vasquez Rivas of Villa de Cos Zacatecas, Mexico; her sisters: Lorenza Vazquez Lopez (Jesus Bentancourt Costilla) of Villa de Cos Zacatecas, Mexico, Maria Cecilia Vazquez Lopez of Kearns, Utah, and Maria Hipolita Vazquez Lopez of Kearns, Utah; and her brothers: Alfonzo Vasquez Lopez (Alma el del Mira Garcia Vazquez) of Blackfoot, Idaho, Jesus Eduardo Vasquez (Juana Gomez) of Idaho Falls, Idaho, Victorino Vazquez (Elizabeth Moreno) of Shelley, Idaho Francisco Vazquez of Blackfoot, Idaho, and Jose Vazquez of Idaho Falls, Idaho.

She is preceded in death by her grandmother, Hipolita Lopez; her aunts: Lorenza Garcia Lopez, Silvina Garza Lopez, Cecilia Garza Lopez, Flor Garza Lopez, and Leticia Hernandez Alvarado.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, March 21, 2024, at Christ the King Catholic Church, 1690 E. 17th St., Idaho Falls. A Rosary will be held at 6:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 20, 2024, with a visitation following until 8:00 p.m., at Coltrin Mortuary, 2100 First Street, Idaho Falls. Burial will be in the Ammon Cemetery.
