Karolyn Hodge
February 18th, 1954 - May 18th, 2024
Karolyn Taylor Hodge of St. Anthony, Idaho passed away on May 18, 2024, with her family by her side at the Idaho Falls Community Hospital. Karolyn was born February 18, 1954, in Ogden, Utah to Doris and Roland Taylor. She was the oldest of three children. She had two younger sisters, Suzanne and Marilyn.
Karolyn grew up in Rupert, Idaho where she attended Minidoka County High School. Karolyn loved to sing and dance. She was a part fo the Mi-Cadettes and sang in the high school choir as well as the AF Sharps Choir later in life. She had a beautiful voice.
On February 14, 1973, she married the love of her life, Terry Calvin Hodge, in Rupert, Idaho. Terry and Karolyn went on to have two boys, Calvin Dean Hodge and Cory Lynn Hodge. They moved their little family around to Springfield, American Falls, then retired to St. Anthony in 1996.
Karolyn was a very accomplished woman who wore many hats. She managed the South Fremont Senior Center, was an insurance agent for Alcoverage Insurance, did the book-keeping for Pump Doctors and Triple H Haulin, and still had time to be a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend.
She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Terry; her sons, Calvin (Shayna) Hodge, Cory Hodge; sister, Marilyn Taylor; grandchildren, Jaydan (Ashlynn) Hodge, Cayden (Krystel) Hodge, Reighan Hodge, Maddie McCurdy, Molly Hodge, Sophie Hodge; and two great-grandchildren, Kooper Hodge and Boog Hodge; her nieces and nephews, Mark (Kristen) Targon, Melanie (Lou) Almanza, Misty Eubanks, Angela (Steve) Butts, Cody (Haley) Roedel, Shane (Sheena) Roedel.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Roland and Doris; a sister, Suzanne; and granddaughter, Ashleigh.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 24, at the St. Anthony Stake Center. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m., and Friday from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m., both times at the stake center.
