Larry Odis Miller, 90, of Idaho Falls, passed away May 16, 2024, at MorningStar Senior Living Center. He was under the care of Enhabit Home Health and Hospice and his loving family.

Larry was born January 16, 1934, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Odis LaVaughn Miller and Florence Burtenshaw Miller. He grew up and attended schools in Idaho Falls and graduated from Idaho Falls High School. He also attended Rick’s College and Eastern Idaho Technical College.

On January 29, 1954, he married Evelyn Terry in the Idaho Falls Temple. Larry and Evelyn made their home in Idaho Falls. They moved to Arco, Idaho, in 1960, and later returned to Idaho Falls in 1990. Larry started his career in security at the Idaho National Laboratory, and eventually became a Health Physics Technician.

He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served a mission in Rochester, New York, and also as Bishop three different times. He enjoyed woodworking. He was also very involved in the Scouting program and received the Silver Beaver Award.

Larry is survived by his wife, Evelyn Miller; daughter, Debby Neuman of Rexburg, ID; son, Doug Miller of Idaho Falls, ID; son, Paul (Tammy) Miller of American Fork, UT; son, Allen (Gina) Miller of Rexburg, ID; son, David (JoAnna) Miller of Othello, WA; son-in-law, Dell Lowder of Rupert, ID; son-in-law, Greg Williams of Kaysville, UT; brother, Roger Miller of Salt Lake City, UT; brother, Brent (Sondra) Miller of Layton, UT; sister, Lois Ricks of Highland, UT; sister, Karen (Gregg) Miller of Logan, UT; 29 grandchildren, 44 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great granchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Stan Miller and Donald Miller; daughters, Wendy Lowder and Barbara William; son-in-law, Lloyd Neuman; daughter-in-law, Vonda Miller; granddaughter, Heather Lowder; grandson, Marty Lowder; and great-granddaughter, Arkadia Miller.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, May 24, 2024, at the Long Cove Ward, 1925 East 49th South, with Bishop Ross officiating. The family will visit with friends Thursday from 7-8:30 p.m. at Wood Funeral Home East Side, 963 South Ammon Road, and Friday from 10-10:45 a.m. at the church. Burial will be in the Ucon Cemetery.
