Lewis Max Clark, 93, of Ammon, Idaho passed away Monday, February 24, 2025, in Idaho Falls, Idaho. He was born April 5, 1931, in Archer, Idaho, the son of Lawrence Hall Clark and Beatrice Ellen McIntire Clark.

Lewis attended schools in Rigby, Idaho, and graduated from Rigby High School. Following high school, he enlisted in the United States Air Force and served as a mechanic. The Air Force provided him with the opportunity to see new places all over the world.

Lewis had many hats in his work career. From his mechanic work with the Air Force, to working the smelter at a mine in Anaconda, Montana. As a janitor at the school in Hamer, Idaho, to Taylor Meats. He worked 25 years with Royal Crown Cola until they closed, so he found employment with Pepsi in Idaho Falls, Idaho until his retirement.

On June 22, 1956, Lewis married Sheron Diane Palmer in Idaho Falls, Idaho at the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. Together, they raised their family in the Idaho Falls area. Sheron preceded him in death in 2001 after 45 years of marriage.

After a few lonely years, Lewis reconnected with a former schoolmate from Rigby, Bonnie Mae Loynd-Booze. They enjoyed a whirlwind courtship and married in Idaho Falls, Idaho on September 27, 2004. Bonnie and Max were blessed to find each other and enjoyed almost 20 years together, travelling often between their homes in Texas and Idaho. Max had rarely left Idaho before marrying Bonnie, but since then she’s taken him on many adventures across the US and even outside the country, to Panama, Costa Rica, Aruba, Curaçao, and Colombia. Bonnie preceded him death in 2021.

With the loss of his wife and retirement, Lewis put his focus into things he enjoyed and kept him busy, woodworking and drinking Pepsi. He made many projects with his scroll saw designing and cutting intricate items. He gave many wood clocks and other personally made items as gifts for weddings. He also enjoyed going camping and being with his grandchildren.

Lewis is survived by his children; Kristy Lyn Clark-Horne (Tyson Williamson), Jeffrey M (Claudia) Clark and a brother Lawerence Gary Clark and Bryan’s special lady, Carol Carter. He was blessed with 13 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.

Lewis was preceded in death by his wife Sheron and wife Bonnie. His parents, Lawrence and Beatrice Clark. A son, Bryan L Clark and wife Susan Clark.

A graveside service is planned for Friday, February 28, 2025, in the Milo Cemetery (8020 E 129 N, Idaho Falls, ID 83401) at 2:00 pm. Condolences can be shared at www.eckersellfuneralhome.com.
