Liborio Ponce
Liborio Franco Ponce, 60, of Springfield, ID, passed away February 21, 2026.
Liborio was born September 27, 1965, in Saucillo, Hidalgo, Mexico, to Agripino Ponce and Eloisa Franco Ponce. He grew up and attended schools in Mexico.
On March 11, 1987, he married Rosemary Garcia in Pocatello, Idaho. Liborio and Rosemary made their home in Springfield, Idaho, where Liborio worked as a farm hand.
Liborio enjoyed the simple things in life. As long as he had his family, friends, beloved animals, and his guitar, he was home. He was happy. Liborio was one of the hardest workers around the farm. He loved tending to his cattle and goats. Liborio enjoyed the outdoors, often grabbing his dog and driving back roads listening to his favorite songs. Liborio always made sure to stop and talk to everyone. If you didn’t know him, you would by the end of the conversation. His devotion to his family, friends, and animals that surrounded him made a lasting impact on everyone that knew him. His kindness spread like wildfire, and it is truly the greatest mark he could have left.
Liborio is survived by his wife, Rosemary Ponce Garcia; sons, Fernando Ponce, Jacob Ponce, Austin Ponce, and Joe Sanches; daughters, Michelle Ponce, Benita Martinez, Rene Portillo, Zenaida Colungo, Destanie Feld, and Monica Sanchez; brother, Orlando Ponce; sister, Ernestina Ponce; brother, Gabriel Ponce; brother, Albertino Ponce; brother, Epolito Ponce; sister, Camerina Martinez; sister, Abimelia Martinez; brother, Miguel Martinez; 13 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
