Lunetta was born September 9, 1935, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Melva Ann Snyder Forman and Albert Aaron Forman. She grew up in Idaho Falls, and attended Idaho Falls High School. She did secretarial training and secured a job at the INL. She worked at Dr. Baker’s office, then taught ballet and gymnastics from her home. Eventually they owned and operated a motel and apartments that Delbert built.

Lunetta was as graceful as her name suggests, music flowed from her and through her. She was a talented ballet and tap dancer. Dance was a passion she shared with her partner for life, Delbert. The pair enjoyed all forms of dance including ballroom where they met and square danced. They were sealed for time and all eternity in the Idaho Falls Temple on May 20, 1955, celebrating 65 years together and 5 years spiritually. They were blessed with five loving children: Alan, David, Debra, Dennis, and Janel.

A member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Lunetta served two missions alongside her husband for the Church in Blythe, California, and Martin’s Cove, Wyoming. She enjoyed many years of camping, dirt biking, and skiing on snow and water. She would shake her head and hide a smile as Delbert belted out his cowboy poetry and would brighten and sing along as he played his guitar. Lunetta was kind and friendly and never met a stranger. Her home was always open to family and friends.

Lunetta is survived by her children, Alan (Carol) Johnson, Idaho Falls, ID; David (Lori) Johnson, Abilene, TX; Debra (Robert) Warner, Idaho Falls, ID; Dennis (Julie) Johnson, Idaho Falls, ID; and Janel (Jason) Wertz, Fort Worth, TX; 23 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents; five brothers, Lynn “Butch” Forman, Vernon Forman, DeViral Forman, Darrell Forman, and Paul Forman; a sister, Roseann Forman; and one grandson, Dereck Michael Johnson.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 21, 2026, at Wood Funeral Home, 273 North Ridge Avenue. A visitation for family and friends will be held Friday evening from 6:30 to 8 p.m. and Saturday from 10 to 10:45 a.m. prior to the services. Burial will be in the Lewisville Cemetery.
