Margaret Ann Moore Johnson Pollak, age 92, passed away peacefully on January 15, 2026.

Margaret was born on February 18, 1933, in Shelton, Idaho, to Lucille and Alfred Moore. She spent the last 60 years of her life in Anaheim, California. She is survived by her children, Greg (daughter-in-law Lisa, daughter Kaitlin), Jan, and Dean. Margaret was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Marian; her brother, Willard; and her son, Kelly.

Margaret was the oldest in her family. She helped out a lot in the home and with her younger siblings. When she was young she loved to dance and play the piano. Her sister Julia loved to hear her play and said she was a natural.

She moved into her house in Anaheim in 1969. Her children were so excited to have their very own swimming pool.

She worked at the Orange County courthouse in the DA’s office. In 1979 Judge Warren Knight retired as a judge and started judicial arbitration. He asked Margaret to help him start this new way of settling cases without going to court. This endeavor was very successful, and they brought in more judges and staff. Margaret worked in judicial arbitration until she retired.

Margaret’s favorite hobby was her love of gardening and flowers around her home and pool including: Geranium, Boston ferns, Roses, Lavender, Agave, California Lilac, Lantana, Hummingbird Sage, Rosemary, California Poppy, Christmasberry shrub, Palm trees and a Yucca tree. She spent countless happy hours outside in the California sun. Margaret drove home to visit her family in Ririe every summer for as long as she could make the drive. Her family recalls many happy visits with her pulling up in her red convertible. Those visits were full of fun stories and laughter.

A funeral service will be held Saturday, February 7, 2026, in Rigby, Idaho, at Eckersell Memorial Chapel at 11:00 a.m. The family will meet with friends prior to the service from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. at Eckersell’s. Interment will be in the Ririe-Shelton Cemetery.

Condolences may be sent to the family at www.eckersellfuneralhome.com.
