Margaret Marion Odom Fleming

Margaret Odom Fleming, 82, of Idaho Falls, Idaho, passed away on April 4, 2026, at Rigby Lake Assisted Living Center in Rigby, Idaho.

She was born on August 29, 1943, in Bennetsville, South Carolina, to Lucille Gertrude Butler and Percy O’Dell Odom. Margaret graduated from Patterson Park High School in Baltimore, Maryland.

In 1966, she married James R. Fleming Sr., and they remained together until his passing in 2008. Margaret was a devoted homemaker, loving wife, and dedicated mother.

Throughout her life, she lived in South Carolina, Maryland, and Florida, before moving to Idaho, in 2003. She was a faithful member of the Pentecostal faith and had a deep love for the Lord and the teachings of Jesus Christ.

Margaret found great joy in being a grandmother and cherished time with her family. She enjoyed crocheting and, during her years in Florida, loved participating in art sales and selling produce at local flea markets.

She is survived by her sons, James Fleming Jr. of Idaho Falls, Idaho, and Joseph R. Fleming of Nashville, Georgia, along with seven grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James R. Fleming Sr. of Ocoee, Florida; two brothers; and one sister.

Margaret will be remembered for her love of family, her strong faith, and her kind and caring heart.
