Obituary Margie Stevens
October 5th, 1928 - April 23rd, 2024
Margie Stevens, 95, of Idaho Falls, passed away April 23, 2024, at home surrounded by her family. She was under the care of Brio Hospice.
Margie was born October 5, 1928, in Shelton, ID, to Howard Erastas Egan and Mary Ethel Wheeler Egan. She grew up and attended schools in Shelton Idaho and graduated from Eastern Idaho Technical College.
On December 16, 1948, she married Jack Wallace Farnes in Shelton, Idaho. Margie and Jack made their home in Idaho Falls, Idaho, where Margie was a dedicated wife and mother.
She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where she served in many callings. She enjoyed doing genealogy, sewing clothing, making baby blankets, quilting, and sewing doll dresses and doll blankets.
Margie is survived by her son, Jack G (Jeanne) Farnes of Shelley, ID; son, John H. (Keri) Farnes of Wenatchee, WA; daughter, Kathryn (Tim) Edwards of Idaho Falls, ID; son, Jeffrey W. Farnes of Idaho Falls, ID; 10 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and 7 great great-grandchildren.
We all knew as a family that she loved us and we cherish all our memories.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Howard and Mary Egan and her husband, Jack Wallace Farnes.
A graveside service will be held at 12 p.m. Tuesday April 30, 2024, at the Ririe-Shelton Cemetery.
