Marjorie Loree Teel

Marjorie Loree Teel, 86, of Idaho Falls, passed away March 8, 2025, at her home. She was under the care of Aspen Home Health and Hospice.

Marjorie was born September 11, 1938, in Seymour, TX, to Hersal A. and Bernice Smith. She grew up and attended schools in Borger, TX, and graduated from Borger High School. She also attended Phillips Community College.

On September 2, 1961, she married Dale Milton Teel in Borger, TX. Marjorie and Dale made their home in Idaho Falls, where Marjorie worked as a secretary for Department of Energy.

She was a member of Shiloh Foursquare Church for many years. She enjoyed movies, musicals, and books.

Marjorie is survived by her sons, Rodney Dale (Deena) Teel of Idaho Falls, ID, Ryan David (Gretchen) Teel of Boise, ID, John Darren (Laura) Teel of Meridian, ID; granddaughters, Hailey Teel of Idaho Falls, ID, Elizabeth Teel of Meridian, ID, Mary Teel of Meridian, ID, and Hope Teel of Meridian, ID.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Dale Teel; parents, Hersal Smith and Bernice McGlaun; and brothers, Harold Smith of Plainview, TX, and Truman Smith of Plainview, TX,

Graveside services will be held at 12:00 p.m. Saturday, March 15, 2025, at Rose Hill Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Saturday, from 11-11:45 a.m. at Wood Funeral Home, 273 N. Ridge.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Idaho Falls Community Food Basket.
