Marjorie “Marge” I. Foster
December 25th, 1940 - September 9th, 2025
Marjorie was born in Salt Lake City, Utah, on December 25, 1940, to Frank V. Brennan and Clella B. Burns Brennan, and passed away on September 9, 2025, in Idaho Falls, Idaho.
She grew up in the Lemhi and Lost River Valleys, graduating from Mackay High School in 1959. During high school, she participated in student council, choir, played snare drum in the pep band, and was a twirler on the drill team. She studied at Idaho State University and completed her Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees of Education in Curriculum & Instruction. She is an alumni of the Phi Upsilon Omicron Honor Society.
She sold advertising for the Post Register while attending ISU, and later, applied her degrees in teaching English and Family and Consumer Science at Clair E. Gail Junior High School. She served as the Career and Technical Coordinator for School Districts 91, 93, and additional East Idaho districts before retiring from education to focus on her real estate career. Marge was a successful real estate agent at Realty World where she became an Associate Broker-Owner, an Associate Broker at American Heritage Realtors, and retired from Century 21 High Desert. Marge was a well respected member of the Idaho Falls community, serving on the Idaho Falls Chamber of Commerce.
Marge is survived by her partner Larry; her daughter, Collene (Bret); Larry’s children, David (Janae), Marty (Donna), Jeffrey (ReBekah), and Michelle (Karen); grandchildren JR (Wendy), TJ (Katie), Josh (Chantel), Melissa, Stephanie, and Nikki (Andrew); and 12 great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, September 16, 2025, at Wood Funeral Home, 273 North Ridge Avenue. The family will visit with friends Monday from 6:30-8 p.m. and Tuesday 10-10:45 a.m. prior to services, both times at Wood Funeral Home. Burial will be in Taylor Cemetery.
