Naida L Christensen

Naida Christensen was born in Lewisville, ID Aug 25th 1929. Naida was the youngest of four children and the only daughter of John Wilburn Lee and Mable Elizabeth Christensen of Grant, ID. She met Don Christensen while they were both attending the Idaho Falls Business College. The couple were married Nov 19th 1948 in Naida’s parents’ home. The family moved frequently following Don’s employment with Northrup King Seed Company. The couple’s first two children, JoAnn and Craig, were born in Idaho Falls, ID. In 1954, just prior to their move to St. Anthony, ID, JoAnn, their oldest child, died suddenly after contracting pneumonia. In St. Anthony three more children came into the family: Lee, Kevin and Garth. In 1965, after a move to Nampa, ID, Trudy, the youngest child, was born. In 1969, another transfer took the family to Bountiful, UT. After seven years, the family returned to Nampa. Don passed away in 1990 from cancer. Naida married Laverne “Bud” Vaudrey in 1997. Bud passed away in 2003. Naida was residing at the Foxtail Senior Care center in Eagle, ID at the time of her death. As a teenager, Naida enjoyed tap dancing and the piano. As the family grew, her interests moved to gardening and sewing to help support the family.

Naida is survived by; son, Craig Christensen (Sherrie) of Saratoga Springs UT; son, Lee Christensen (Jill) of Draper UT; son, Kevin Christensen (Sandra) of Caldwell ID; son, Garth Christensen (Crystal) of Eagle ID; daughter, Trudy Rose (Randy) of Grantsville UT; 12 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren.
