Peggy Clements Knopp, 82, passed away peacefully in her home on the evening of Thursday, February 5, 2026, in Burley, ID, surrounded by her loved ones.

She was born on January 18, 1944, in Idaho Falls, ID, to her parents Albert and Helen Brownell.

Peggy had a gift for bringing joy to others through her many talents. She was an accomplished quilter, dancer, and dance teacher who shared her love of movement with students in the Idaho Falls area for nearly two decades. She also contributed choreography to local community productions, including Saturday’s Warrior. Beyond the dance studio, she coached t-ball and created countless memories as a devoted mother and grandmother throughout her life.

Her greatest adventures were shared with her beloved husband, Bill Knopp. Together, they loved fishing, camping, and traveling, with their time in Salmon, ID, holding a special place in their hearts. There, they transformed a property into their own wonderland, surrounded by the mountains and rivers they cherished. For many years, Peggy and Bill enjoyed their winters in Yuma, AZ.

Peggy’s wonderful laugh and kind spirit touched everyone who knew her. Her family will remember her colorful expression, sayings, and sassy attitude.

Peggy is survived by her husband, Bill Knopp, and his daughter Nanette (K.C.) Baird of Clearfield, UT; her sister, Curly (Dave) Olavison of Swan Valley, ID; her children: Richard (Mary) Clements of Boise, ID, Brian (Dana) Clements of Payson, UT, Kurt (Polly) Clements of Idaho Falls, ID, and Michelle (Jason) Harris of Idaho Falls, ID; 19 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

A celebration of life will be held in Salt Lake City, UT, in March. Peggy was cremated, and there will be no formal funeral service. The family extends heartfelt thanks to Visions Hospice Services for their compassionate care during Peggy’s brief illness
