We lost a father, friend, musician, artist and craftsman. Randy Michael Stone, 70, passed away November 25, 2022, he will live on forever in our memories.

Randy was born April 24, 1952. He attended Idaho Falls High School and remained in Idaho Falls where he lived and enjoyed his life.

In 1973, he married Lori Ann Gockley, raising two beautiful children, Jennifer Ann Riggs and Wesley Michael Stone. Although Lori and Randy later divorced, they remained the closest of friends!

Randy was an artist, known for his craftsmanship and beautiful tile and masonry work all over Eastern Idaho and Western Wyoming!

He was also a talented musician. He played the guitar, banjo, piano, harmonica and an occasional kazoo. Often while playing he would sing songs for his family while making up his own funny lyrics.

He was the biggest jokester, wherever he went he was making people laugh. He never knew a stranger. Randy always had a witty comment or joke to make you smile. One of the funniest ways he would answer his phone was “Stone Cemetery, Head Stone speaking”. The grandkids favorite joke was when he would ‘magically’ remove his thumb or swing his arm like it was broken. Always making the kids laugh.

Randy was a friend to all who knew him.

Randy Stone was proceeded in death by his mother, Joan Bandell, father, George E. Stone Sr., brother, George E. Stone Jr. He leaves behind his children; son Wesley (Rachel) Stone, and daughter Jennifer Riggs Pettingill (Robin), grandchildren; Michaela (Eric) West, Trace (Mercedes) Pettingill, Ava Heglar, Owen Heglar, great grandson; Warren West. And other extended family and friends.

A celebration and remembrance of Randy’s life will be held in Idaho Falls the week of December 19th. Details to come.
