Raymond Nethercott
February 22nd, 1954 - August 13th, 2023
Raymond G. Nethercott, 69, of Victor, Idaho passed away peacefully in the comfort of his home on August 13, 2023, surrounded by his wife and children after a long and hard-fought battle with cancer.
Raymond was born on February 22, 1954, to George and Afton Nethercott in Driggs, Idaho. Raymond grew up in the Cedron, Idaho area until his late teenage years when his mom and siblings moved to Victor, Idaho.
Raymond took on the role of “supporter” of the household at a very young age. Raymond help support his family after his dad’s passing. Raymond was there for many people in their times of need.
Raymond married his long-time crush, Sharon Bainbridge, on March 23, 1984 and gained an instant son, Jerad Hatch, who he loved very much! Raymond and Sharon had two more children and enjoyed raising them together in Cedron, Idaho. Raymond’s ultimate goal was to be the best husband and father he could be and he far surpassed this goal!
Raymond cherished his sweet wife, who never left his side through his entire battle. When one doctor asked him where his happy place was, he responded “My wife is my happy place.” Raymond had a big heart and loved all his friends and family, especially his grandkids.
Raymond is survived by his wife, Sharon Nethercott; son Jason (Sarah) Nethercott and their 3 children; daughter Amanda (Travis) Ashbocker and their 5 children; sister Ida (Dick) Hansen; and several nieces and nephews. Raymond is proceeded in death by his son Jerad Hatch; mother and father George and Afton Nethercott; sister Linda Naef; and brother Joe Nethercott.
Visitation with the family will be Thursday, August 17, from 5:30-7:00 p.m. at the Victor LDS church, 87 E. Center St., Victor, Idaho. A second visitation will be held Friday, August 18, from 10:00-10:45 a.m. followed by a funeral at 11:00 a.m.
Any and all are welcome to honor Raymond by bringing their semi to the church and honking as Raymond takes his final ride on the back of Jason’s 18-wheeler to his final resting place in the Cedron Cemetery.
