Rick M Chase, 61, of Rigby, passed away May 8, 2024, at his home.
Rick was born October 4, 1962, in Saint Anthony, Idaho, to Sam Jones and Venna Jones. He grew up and attended schools in Idaho Falls, and graduated from Bonneville High School. He also attended East Idaho Technical College.
On August 9, 1991, he married Barbara Rush. She passed away on June 17, 2018. On September 28, 2019, he married Laurie Ann Gray in Idaho Falls. Rick worked as an IBEW Electrician.
He was a member of the Jehovah’s Witness Church. He enjoyed shooting pool, horseback riding, 4 wheeling, hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family.
Rick is survived by his wife, Laurie Chase of Rigby, ID; son, Jason (Celeste) Rush of Rigby, ID; son, Shane (Nicole) Chase of Idaho Falls, ID; daughter, Chyanne (Chris) Smith of Idaho Falls, ID; son, Jered (Tailor) Rivas of Firth, ID; daughter, Lisa Anderson of Idaho Falls, ID; daughter, Melanie Storer of Idaho Falls, ID; sister, Deb Eatinger of Idaho Falls, ID; brother, Bill (Janet) Chase of Idaho Falls, ID; brother, Dave (Brenda) Chase of Idaho Falls, ID; sister, Cheryl Koster of Idaho Falls, ID; sister, Cathy (Paul) Turk of Bend, OR; sister, Pam (Derek) Stewart of Seabeck, WA; 10 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, Sam Jones; mother, Vienna McMinn; step-father, Lloyd Chase; step-mother, Roseann Chase; grandparents, Von and Georgia Chase; grandmother, Delores McMinn; sister, Terry Simmons; and his wife, Barbara Chase.
A gathering will be held from 2:00 – 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 18, 2024, at Wood Funeral Home, 273 N. Ridge Avenue in Idaho Falls.
