Ronald Peterson Berrett, age 89, passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center on April 18, 2024. He was born in Salt Lake City, Utah on October 3, 1934, to the late Burton Beach Berrett and Wanda Verneas Peterson.

Ronnie attended school in Roberts, Idaho, and pursued higher education at Ricks College in Rexburg, Idaho. On November 21, 1955, he married his sweetheart, Betty Joan Christensen, with whom he created a loving family. Ronnie dedicated 35 years of his life to J.R. Simplot as a Crop Advisor, forming lifelong friendships and garnering pride in his career.

An avid enthusiast of various hobbies, Ronnie found joy in golf, gardening, fishing, and spending quality time with his children and grandchildren. He took great pleasure in watching and attending sporting events involving his beloved family. Ronnie was a member of The Church of Latter-day Saints and the Roberts Lions Club.

Ronnie is survived by his devoted wife, Betty Berrett of Roberts, ID, his daughter Rawna (Bo) Maestas of Idaho Falls, ID, his sons Rick (Misty) Berrett of St. Anthony, ID, and Ryan (Lanie) Berrett of Roberts, ID. He is also survived by his brother Richard (Kaye) Berrett of Roberts, ID, sisters Brenda (Doug) Reynolds of Taylor, UT, and Barbara (Dave) Trenchak of Idaho Falls, ID, along with brothers-in-law Don Kerlee of Ashton, ID, and Dennis Jackson of Roberts, ID. He leaves behind 10 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

Ronnie was preceded in death by his parents, Bert and Wanda Berrett, his sisters Berteen Kerlee and Bonnie Jackson, and his grandson Eric Berrett.

Ronnie will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. His legacy of love, kindness, and devotion to family will forever be cherished.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 24, 2024 in the Roberts LDS Chapel (663 North 2858 East, Roberts, ID) at 1:00 PM. The family will meet with friends prior to the service from 11:30 am to 12:45 am at the church. Interment will be in the Roberts Cemetery. Condolences may be shared at www.eckersellfuneralhome.com
