Sandy Johnson

Sandy Godfrey Johnson, 77, of Rigby passed away March 26, 2026 at Homestead Assisting Living Center.
Sandy was born February 26, 1949, in St. Anthony, Idaho, to Reese and Dona Godfrey. She was the third of six children. She grew up in Newdale, Idaho, and graduated from Sugar Salem High School, as well as Rick‘s College.
Sandy married Larry Johnson of St. Anthony, and had four children. Aaron, Levi, Daniel and Lacey. Sandy took pride in working hard and providing for her family. She loved to garden and found joy in growing beautiful flowers all around her yard. She especially loved her raspberry patch and shared it with anyone who asked. She was an accomplished scenic photographer, and loved to take pictures of the Tetons and the surrounding area. Several of her photographs were featured in different venues throughout southeast Idaho. She was passionate and dedicated to the things and people she loved.
Sandy is survived by her son, Aaron Johnson of St. Anthony, daughter, Lacey (Skyler) Allen of Pocatello; 5 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. Her brother, Glen (Louise) Godfrey of Newdale; sister, Geneane Poulsen of Boise and sister, Kerry Judkins of Utah.
She was proceeded in death by her sons Levi and Daniel Johnson; parents, Reese and Dona Godfrey; sisters, Jana Lighthall and Bonnie Woolstenhulme.
No public services are planned. She will be laid to rest in the Teton Newdale cemetery.
